Delicious lunch! Heirloom tomato salad was so flavourful and fresh - I could've easily eaten two!! Definitely going back not just for this but also to try different pizzas.

Great food, a little on the pricey side but very flavoursome. Good strong service, lovely atmosphere - not too lovely but not too quiet. Love that they have gluten free options for the pizza which still taste very good. The bartender Josh was really helpful and lovely!

Always love my encounter with Capitano. A terrific gem in Carlton serving consistently great pasta and pizza. Love the atmosphere of the venue and the staff are attentive and friendly.

This place... and I cannot stress this enough: would make me obese if I lived nearby. The pizza was exceptional; phenomenal. I will dream about this pizza until I day I die. I got one of the round and one of the square to try both and I was flabbergasted. They were impeccable. Fantastic all round and a great price point.

This place can do no wrong! And we are FUSSY when it comes to good food in Melb. Food: The food was perfectly flavourful, balanced and very satiating. we ordered the lamb ragu, carbonara pizza, Goomba pizza and the prawn pasta. Highly recommend the ragu and the goomba! They were the table favourite. The staff are incredible, they even brought out a candle for my fiancés birthday with the tiramisu! It was very sweet. Thanks for providing such fantastic service. Vibe is fantastic - a perfect balance between causal and fancy but not intimidating. Can’t wait to be back.

We've been here a few times now and it always impresses. Definitely one of the very best choices in Melbourne for rustic Italian food with a contemporary edge. The perfectly balanced and creative flavours make every dish so delicious. The table service is friendly and the restaurant has a nice relaxed atmosphere. This place is a must go.

Capitano’s stays goated and the key word is CONSISTENCY. I simply can’t believe how good this place is. I’ve been coming here for many years now and have NEVER had a disappointing experience. They update the menu pretty regularly with new and interested stuff. The negroni’s are perfect, the wine list is extensive and above all the food is perfection. I can confidently say it’s my favourite restaurant in Melbourne. It does tend to get pretty busy so i’d recommend booking in advance. Everything they make is done with purpose, i reckon everything is worth a try.

Lovely place, great service, lovely food can’t wait to come back to try more. The Big Cap did throw me off a little because I love beef cheeks but it tastes like a Big Mac pizza it was lovely but I’d definitely try another pizza for sure!
